Hurricane Resistant Products

Being in the Gulf Coast area, we have assembled an award winning list of hurricane resistant products (also known as impact resistant).  The areas we focus on are impact resistant windows, properly installed roofing and strong Hardieplank siding.

Our roofing, siding and window solutions will make your home more resistant to the damaging effects of a hurricane or other severe storm.

Here are some highlights of a recent TV appearance regarding impact resistant products:

Hurricane winds can wreak havoc on your home. Allied Siding & Windows gives you a few tips on how to inspect and repair shingles that have been lifted away from your roof due to high winds.

Securing windows and glass doors for an impending hurricane can be a challenge. Leonard Courtright of Allied Siding & Windows shows you how with another tip on preparing your home for hurricane season.

Hurricane tip #3 - preparing your home for hurricane season, from Allied Siding & Windows. Vinyl siding is prone to having gaps where the wind can peel it off of your home. Wind driven debris can also ruin your vinyl siding. Use Hardiplank for excellent protection from strong winds. It has a durable finish of up to 130 mph impact resistance.

About a million homes were damaged after Hurricane Ike. Have a local company picked out before the storm hits so that you will have help with repairs.

Hurricane windows can be affordable. They are designed to break, but not break through, so that wind and water won't enter your house. This is an excellent way to protect your home from hurricane damage.

Interested in Pre-Storm Board Up Service?

Allied’s factory trained crews are at the ready to board up your home before a storm arrives. We stockpile supplies to avoid last minute runs on necessary materials including recommended plywood, framing members, screws, windows clips, etc.

Once you contract with Allied, our crew will board up your windows and glass doors with custom cut and fitted plywood. This includes tough to get to 2nd story and even 3rd story / attic windows. We will also protect your sliding glass doors and French doors with proper framing and plywood.

Our board up fee includes the purchase of the wood and other materials. So after the storm passes we will come back to remove the material and store them in your garage for the next storm. The take down and storage is no extra cost.

Post-Storm Repair

A house after being impacted by a hurricane.

Having more than 13,000 customers in the greater Houston area, every storm produces a past customer with damage. So, having helped those customers with needed repairs over the years, we have developed insurance experience and expertise to begin helping anyone with post storm repairs.

Once again, we utilize our factory trained crews to make common repairs to roofing, siding and windows. We have also developed a group of high quality crews to complete interior repairs including drywall, flooring and the like.

Our repairs generally begin with an onsite visit and analysis of immediate repairs. These usually include tarping the roof with an FEMA approved tarp to mitigate further interior damage. We will also board up broken windows or actual openings in exterior walls.

After initial repairs are made, we will work with you and your insurance company to determine the proper course of action to return your home to its pre-storm condition.
